Community Kids

Kids Ministry at Community

At Community Baptist Church our kids (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

Sunday School is held every Sunday at 9:45am with Children’s Worship following at 11:00am.

We would love to see you and your family visit Community Kids.

Your first visit

Here’s what to expect when visiting Community Kids for the first time:

First, find the area marked Community Kids check-in. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child’s name
  • Child’s birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

How check-in works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Parent’s Viewing Room

Community offers childcare during service for infants. We also have a Parent’s Viewing Room that is available for mothers and fathers with infants. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.

Meet our Children’s Minister

Community Kids is led by Mattea Pavlick and a wonderful group of volunteers. Mattea has served as Children's Minister for 8 years and joined the Community staff in the summer of 2018. Using her Master's degree in Education from the University of Montevallo, she finds engaging and current curriculum that emphasizes the long-standing message of the risen Lord. Apart from being a wife and mother to 3 kids, you may find her substituting at Creek View Elementary or cheering on her kids at the fields.
